Caroline Sherman

- Established an array of editorial contacts in top-tier media, garnering placements with outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Chicago Tribune, BusinessWeek (Cover Story), Newsweek (Cover Story), Family Circle, Men’s Health, Entrepreneur, etc.
- Led and contributed to client campaigns of companies including Altec Lansing (since acquired by Plantronics) and Power Sentry (a Fiskars brand, since acquired by Philips), among others
- Spearheaded the PR and marketing initiatives for Ultimate Ears from the early stages of the company, which contributed to the acquisition of the company by Logitech for $34 million in August 2008. Despite having internal teams, Logitech made the atypical decision to continue to retain Alpaytac as their PR/marketing agency of record due to the outstanding results we achieved for the brand
- Manages media relations, new product launches, marketing communications development and trade show publicity. Also has a strong track record of securing speaking engagements at relevant trade shows and conferences, as well as submitting and securing award recognition for clients’ products/services

Michelle Mekky

- Previously served as the President of Chicago-based Empower Public Relations, a full-service firm with a wide roster of clients including landmark hotels, famous restaurants, retail establishments and lifestyle and relationship experts
- Landed media placements on The TODAY Show, The New York Times, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Travel & Leisure, Fox Business Network, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Magazine, Food & Wine, CNN, NBC, FOX, ABC, WGN, CBS and many more
- Integral in account management, editorial and pitch creation as well as media training. Michelle created a media training program and has coached top CEO’s, politicians, and spokespeople of all kinds to excel in media interviews
- A veteran television producer, she spent 12 years at WFLD-TV, Fox-32 in Chicago
- Has worked as a news writer, segment producer and senior producer of FOX News in the Morning and supervised all of the bookings and content on the morning shows, often filled in as executive producer, leading breaking news shows on events such as the war with Iraq, the Pope’s death and live special shows on the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs
- Her media experience also includes news writing at NBC-5 Chicago, and reporting for WISC-TV in Madison, Wis.
- Involved with networking groups such as the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and was a lead facilitator for the Empowering Women Network – a group of organizations which work to strengthen the presence of women in the fields of corporate and entrepreneurial success
- A Northwestern University graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from the world-renowned Medill School of Journalism
- Has completed two half marathons, distance races and a competitive stair climb
