Robert Schucker, founder and president of Eco Earth Design, has provided superior landscaping services to clients throughout New Jersey for more than 24 years.

Rob, who studied at Rutgers’ Cook College, founded R&S Landscaping in 1984. Since that time, Rob has grown R&S from being a modest landscape maintenance firm into one of the premier environmentally responsible landscaping companies in the New York Metropolitan Area.

In 2008, Rob formed Eco Earth Design, an affiliate of R&S Landscaping, to provide superior quality, eco-friendly landscape design to property owners seeking cutting-edge approaches to sustainability.

In September 2009, Rob was named among Green Roofs for Healthy Cities’ inaugural group of Green Roof Professionals, affirming Eco Earth Design’s position as New Jersey’s leader in the rapidly emerging industry of green roof systems.

A strong advocate for professional development, Rob encourages all employees to enroll in continuing education and certification programs, and has developed an internship program, “Earn to Learn”, for which he travels to student career days all over the country to recruit participants.

An avid traveler, Rob has visited more than 45 countries including Peru, India, Borneo, and South Africa. He is a resident of Blairstown, N.J., where he lives with his wife, Mila, raising llamas and goats, which led R&S’s introduction of “Fertillama”, a new organic fertilizer program.

Rob is a Certified Landscape Professional and New Jersey Certified Irrigation Contractor, and is a member of the New Jersey Landscape Contractors Association and PLANET, the Professional Landcare Network.
