Matt Tuzzo, CPDT-KA, ABCDT
Owner/Head Trainer, Since 2010

Matt started his dog training business after realizing many trainers fail to relate to the owner. He founded Jersey Shore Dogs on the belief that dog training should be offered from the owner’s perspective – empathizing with the owner AND dog (not just the dog). Approaching his training methods from this standpoint, Matt ensures owners feel comfortable and confident during training sessions, and that both owner and dog have a positive, fulfilling experience.

Matt’s education includes a B.S. in Business Administration from Villanova University. Currently, he attends The Academy for Dog Trainers, mentoring under world-renowned dog trainer Jean Donaldson, author of The Culture Clash. Matt holds CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed) and ABCDT (ABC Certified Dog Trainer) designations, and is a member of the Pet Professional Guild, the association for force free pet professionals, and listed on Truly Dog-Friendly.

Matt’s ongoing success in solving behavior problems, in dogs of all ages, has led to him being published in a variety of dog related publications. Additionally, he attends yearly educational workshops and seminars, while staying up-to-date with the most accurate research findings on animal behavior. Matt worked as one of several volunteer dog trainers at Woodbridge Animal Shelter in Woodbridge, NJ, and is currently head dog trainer at Husky House Rescue in Matawan, NJ and Dogtopia of Old Bridge, in Old Bridge, NJ.



Angela Tuzzo
Public Relations, Since 2010

Angela is responsible for marketing and public relations initiatives for Jersey Shore Dogs. Her expertise in implementing successful public relations initiatives also earned her a spot on the RIN TIN TIN team after Jersey Shore Dogs partnered with RIN TIN TIN at one of the H.H. Backer Pet Industry Trade Shows. Angela is also a senior account executive at MRB Public Relations, a technology PR firm located in Freehold, NJ.
