My husband and I were searching long and hard for a bluenose pit bull. Our plan was to get 2 pit bulls, 1 bluenose and 1 rednose. After speaking with several breeders, we found that Luis was the best. Right from the get, he was knowledgeable, down-to-earth and more concerned with the well-being of his puppy than with the amount of money he could get for him.
My husband and I visited our puppy, Kimbo, and immediately felt a connection to him. Having a puppy was extremely new to both of us, but Luis helped us all along the way. Kimbo has the biggest heart. He loves attention from people and playing with other dogs. He even likes cats (go figure!). Everywhere we go with Kimbo, he draws attention from all types of people: adults, kids, those afraid of dogs and even those who hate pit bulls!
Kimbo is very smart. He learned his name the 1st day without treats. He was potty-trained in 4 days! He learned to sit in 3 days with the use of treats. He is simply the sweetest and most wonderful dog in the whole world! My favorite thing is when I take a break from studying and sit down on our stairs, no matter what Kimbo is doing (sleeping, eating, playing), he always gets up and comes to sit with me. He brings so much comfort and love into our lives! We are so grateful to have him!
After getting Kimbo, we picked out a rednose puppy, Simba, from another “breeder”. Simba’s “breeder” was an amateur and a scam-artist. Not only that, but after taking Simba to our vet and some other dog experts, we found that Simba was mistreated greatly within his first 8 weeks of life, before we picked him up. He was aggressive with food, unwilling to come to us, stubborn, scared and unresponsive to praise. Luckily, Kimbo is a great example and Simba has learned a lot from him. Being new dog-owners, we did not know how to deal with all of the problems that we have had with Simba and his “breeder”. Luis helped us the entire way with Simba, even though that was not his responsibility. Many times he gave us his advice from his 12 years of experience. He stayed in contact with us and has continued to help us along with our puppies.
Now our puppies are happy and healthy. They are part of our family and we adore them. Kimbo is still well-behaved and extremely loving. Simba’s behavior is coming along and he is a sweetheart just the same! We are so grateful to Luis because he has helped us more than we can explain! He has the experience and heart that makes his pit bulls better than all of the rest. Most of all, he truly cares about the home that his puppies end up in, and that’s what makes him the best in his field!
